Verkerks in Christchurch, NZ, is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant for the Slice and Pack department. Day shift, 40 hours per week, typically 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, in a refrigerated environment.

You will box products, operate industrial slicers and packing machines, and contribute to a cooperative team under approachable supervisors. Starting pay is $24.76 per hour with overtime, plus training and staff perks.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift 10–25kg on a regular basis.
• Reliable and organised, always turning up to work on time.
• Willing to work in a cold environment (about 6°C).
• Able to work in a team and follow supervisors’ directions.
