Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited in Timaru is seeking a reliable, energetic person for the Produce team. You will keep the department full, fresh and looking great, rotate stock and perform quality checks while helping customers in a busy environment.

You must follow strict food safety and health & safety procedures and be prepared for varied weekend hours. The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Job description

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic person to join our Produce team.

The role includes:

• Keeping the Produce department full, fresh and looking great
• Stock rotation and quality checks
• Helping customers and working as part of a busy team
• Following strict food safety and health & safety procedures

Hours:

Friday & Saturday 11am - 8pm

Sunday & Monday 8am - 4.30pm

The successful candidate will need to have:

• The ability to follow a strict food control plan.
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for customer service.
• Be a team player who can also excel when working independently.
• Be reliable and physically fit (you’ll be on your feet all day with some heavy lifting).
• Have initiative to plan and prioritize your day.
• A willingness to learn and grow.
