Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a motivated and reliable Warehousing Assistant at the Wanaka depot. You will assist with general warehousing and freight sorting, preparing the depot for daily operations, and ensuring loads are handled safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to lift up to 25 kg, and comfortable working early morning shifts. Knowledge of local NZ geography is helpful, and pre-employment checks will apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• Physically fit (able to lift up to 25kgs).
• Strong focus on Health and Safety.
• Sound knowledge of local NZ geography.

Responsibilities

• General warehousing and freight sorting duties to prepare the depot for daily operations.
• Maintain tidiness of the branch and ensure loading/unloading of cargo is safe and efficient.
• Work on your feet for extended periods and comply with safety requirements.
• Be flexible with shifts and contribute to efficient depot operations.

The Role

This role will involve general warehousing and freight sorting duties, where you will prepare the depot for daily operations, maintain the tidiness of the branch and ensure the loading and unloading of cargo is completed safely and efficiently. You will be a physically fit individual with capability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Hours available are Monday to Tuesday, 6.30am to 8.30am and Wednesday to Friday, 5.30am to 8.30am

This role is based at our Wanaka Depot

Please note: Due to current road closures and strain on our transit network, we require flexibility.
