Job summary

New Zealand Couriers Tauranga is seeking a Freight Handler to assist in branch set up, freight handling and sorting of freight. You will help with loading/unloading of trucks and scanning freight into cages and freight office.

You should be reliable, adaptable to evening/night shifts, and able to communicate effectively with team members. Joining our Operations team, you’ll contribute to timely deliveries and safe handling in a busy depot environment, complying with ACC and health and safety

Qualifications

• Reliability and steady performance in a busy depot.
• Honesty and trust in handling freight and paperwork.
• Clear communication with colleagues and drivers.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings and nights.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in a physical environment.

• Assist in sorting freight accurately to areas/branches/couriers and other duties
• Set up Depot ready for Trucks/contractors/day runs /overnight
• Assist with loading/unloading of trucks/ containers
• Consolidate overnight freight / Deconsolidate incoming freight
• Scanning of freight into cages/freight office
• Compliance to ACC regulations & Health and Safety policy
