Job summary

New Zealand Couriers is seeking a Freight Sorter for our night shift at North Harbour. The role involves sorting, scanning, stacking and loading parcels to keep freight moving and couriers on schedule.

It is a part-time position (18 hours per week) with shifts on Sunday 8pm–1am and Mon–Wed 12am–5am. We value reliability, physical fitness and a strong safety mindset, with prior warehousing experience beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• You will be reliable, physically capable, and safety-focused.
• Can lift up to 25kg repetitively.
• Available and reliable for night shifts.
• Previous warehousing experience advantageous but not essential.

We're now looking for a Freight Sorter to join our night shift team.

The role

Based at our North Harbourbranch, our Freight Sorters are the engine room of the operation. You'll sort, scan, stack, and load parcels to keep freight flowing and couriers on schedule. It's fast-paced, hands-on work where teamwork, energy, and a strong focus on Health & Safety are key. You'll also help keep the depot clean, organised, and running smoothly - because every parcel counts.

This is a part-time position working 18 hours per week. Sunday (8pm - 1am), Monday - Wednesday (12am - 5am).

What you'll be doing

• Sort and load parcels accurately and efficiently
• Work to strict dispatch and courier cut-off deadlines
• Maintain depot cleanliness and organisation
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and guidelines
• Support team members to ensure smooth depot operations

What we're looking for

You will be reliable, physically capable, and safety-focused, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Can lift up to 25kg repetitively and enjoy working on your feet
• Strong commitment to Health and Safety
• Available and reliable for night shift work
• Previous experience in warehousing or depot environment is advantageous, but not essential
