Job summary

Hunter Campbell is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead group-level planning, forecasting and performance reporting in a fast-paced NZ consumer goods environment. You will partner with key stakeholders, manage group overheads and drive insightful commercial decision-making.

This standalone role requires strong financial modelling, advanced PowerPoint capabilities and a proven track record in FP&A. A CA/CPA qualification and FMCG experience are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent; CA/CPA highly regarded.
• 7+ years in management accounting or FP&A.
• Advanced financial modelling and forecasting capability.
• Advanced PowerPoint, with experience building reporting packs.
• Outstanding business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Confident communicator who engages proactively across the business.
• Highly organised, agile and comfortable switching between priorities.
• FMCG background highly regarded.

About the Company

Our client is a well-established New Zealand consumer goods business. They offer a fast-paced, hands-on environment where finance plays a central role in commercial decision-making.

The Role

Reporting to a senior commercial finance leader, you will lead group-level planning, forecasting and performance reporting. You will partner key stakeholders, manage group overhead costs and provide the insight that shapes commercial decisions. This is a standalone role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting cycles
• Oversee group consolidation for planning across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Deliver monthly reporting packs, variance analysis and executive commentary
• Build financial models, scenario plans and business cases
• Business partner key stakeholders and control group overheads
• Work with the wider finance team to ensure consistent reporting
• Prepare materials for Board and senior leadership updates
• Improve FP&A processes, controls and systems
