Job summary

Fluid Recruitment is seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst for a global business with over a century of presence in New Zealand. Reporting to the CFO, you will translate financial data into actionable insights to support performance and strategic decisions.

You'll build and maintain budgeting models, provide forecasting and management reporting, and partner with senior leaders across units to drive efficiency and value across projects and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent.
• Experience in FP&A or financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel and PowerBI with financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning.
• Preparing accurate cashflow forecasts.
• Analyzing actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and trends.
• Working with Business Unit leaders to prepare and monitor budgets.
• Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting.
• Providing clear financial insights to support business and strategic decisions.
• Partnering with project and operations teams to understand drivers behind financial performance.
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement and improved efficiency.
• Supporting annual budgeting and long-term financial planning.
• Providing scenario analysis and financial insights to senior leadership.

Reporting to the CFO, you'll provide high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and reporting to support business performance and strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with senior leaders, Business Unit managers, project teams and operations to turn financial data into clear, practical insights.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning

About you

You'll be a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys getting into the detail while understanding the bigger business picture.

• A Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a similar FP&A or financial analysis role
• Advanced Excel, PowerBI experienced and financial modelling skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
• The ability to build effective relationships across finance, operations and project teams
