Job summary

Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) in Blenheim is seeking relief tutors for the Foundation Studies Programme to support learners aged 16–24 in a face-to-face setting. The role focuses on building confidence, skills, and success in studies.

Hours are typically Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–3:00pm, with relief work offered as needed to cover staff absences and programme requirements. Applicants should be passionate about learner support and working with young people.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people.
• Experience in education, youth development, or learner support would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with understanding literacy and numeracy tasks
• Support the tutor both in the classroom and on field trips
• Perform classroom admin tasks as required by the tutor
