Job summary

Transpower New Zealand is seeking a hands-on warehouse operator based near Palmerston North to support project and maintenance work. You will handle inbound and outbound materials, keep stock accurate, and ensure timely deliveries to sites.

You’ll need a forklift licence, knowledge of safety procedures, and proficiency with Excel/Outlook. The role involves lifting up to 20 kg and working in a dynamic, team-based environment with strong safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, stock management, or related environments with safe handling of materials.
• Competent forklift operation with the necessary licences and familiarity with gantry cranes.
• Solid health, safety, and environmental awareness and compliance.
• Confident user of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock control.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and dispatch inwards goods and materials.
• Pick and pack orders and prepare for dispatch.
• Maintain stock accuracy with correct bin locations in the system.
• Assist with regular stock cycle counts.
• Conduct visual checks, apply FIFO, and keep the warehouse tidy.
• Operate in a safe manner in a high-value infrastructure environment.
