Job summary

OneFortyOne Plantations in Richmond, NZ, is seeking an Environment Manager to lead environmental management and compliance across our forestry estate and operations in the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions.

You will work with operational teams, regulators, iwi and industry partners to ensure our forests are managed responsibly and sustainably, aligning with environmental expectations and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement in environmental performance across forestry operations.
• Maintain and improve environmental management systems, policies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, resource consents and certification requirements; lead certification processes.
• Provide practical environmental support and advice to operational teams and contractors.
• Lead environmental monitoring, audits, investigations and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with councils, iwi, government agencies and community stakeholders.
• Manage environmental and ecological projects that support business objectives.
