Job summary

Tasman Pine Forests Ltd. is seeking a Forester to support harvest planning, forest engineering design, and supervision of infrastructure construction. You will work with the Harvest Planning/Engineering Manager and the harvesting team to ensure plans meet objectives with environmental and H&S compliance.

The role involves contributing to resource consents, audits, and overseeing field operations while maintaining strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Physically fit and able to work in forestry environments.
  • Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards (HSE).
  • Sound technical and practical experience in forest engineering or harvesting.

Forester: Harvest Planning, Engineering and Harvesting Supervision

In this key role you will assist the Harvest Planning/Engineering Manager and the harvesting, engineering team with harvest planning, forest engineering design and supervision of infrastructure construction, resource consent input, cutover and environmental audits and harvest supervision, to ensure all operations meet agreed objectives and adhere to environmental and Health and Safety policies.

About you

  • Physically fit

  • Sound technical and practical experience in areas of forest engineering or harvesting

  • NZ citizen or permanent NZ work visa status
