Job summary

Accor New Zealand's The Sebel Auckland Manukau is seeking a Food & Beverage Attendant to deliver friendly, professional service in Ora Bistro. You will support room service, conferencing and bar service while upholding high hygiene and menu knowledge standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in hospitality, are punctual, flexible for weekends/evenings/holidays, and enjoy working in a dynamic, multicultural team. Legal right to work in New Zealand is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a restaurant, hotel or similar hospitality setting.
• Ability to work on a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
• Confidence with wine lists and menu knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and guest interaction.

We are on the lookout for a Food & Beverage Attendant to join our Ora Bistro team to ensureefficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests. Ideally you will;

• Have a minimum of 1 year experience workingin a restaurant, hotel or similar industry setting.


• Be punctual, reliable and able to work on a rotating roster system including weekends, evenings and public holidays.


• Have proven confidence with wine list and menu knowledge.


• Have strong communication skills and comfort with interacting with guests and other team members.


• Have the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst delivering results.


• Enjoy working in a dynamic, multi-cultural team and bring a can do, positive attitude to work.


• Have a focus on delivering excellent service and providing a positive guest experience, every time.


• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Food & Beverage Attendants are responsible for overseeing the daily food and beverage service and ensuring that it meets guests’ expectations to the highest standard through following hygienic food and beverage handling procedures and being confident with menu and beverage knowledge.

The role works in a team environment during the day-to-day service periods of the restaurant, delivering room service, conferencing and bar service function with a distinct focus on providing excellence in our guest service. We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and a passion to our team and in this role you will:

• Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests.


• Show confidence with and become competent in the knowledge of our dining menus and wine list knowledge to maximise sales to guests.


• Be able to work effectively in a team and take initiative when completing individual tasks.


• Ensure guest satisfaction through effective communication and resolve any issues in a timely manner with positive outcomes.


• Achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.

• Ideally a minimum of 1 year experience workingin a restaurant, hotel or similar industry setting.
