Desktop Technology Services in Auckland is seeking an experienced IT Support Floorwalker to join ASAP through November with potential extension into 2027. The role focuses on end-user support, Windows 10/11 upgrades, and proactive on-floor assistance in a collaborative team environment.
You will manage and resolve tickets, assist with SCCM and Intune management, and help migrate users to newer Windows platforms. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is required.

This role is Auckland based and may include visits to sites across the region.

We have an opportunity within a large project for an experienced IT Support Floorwalker starting ASAP though to November with a possibility of further extension in 2027.
Key skills are:
2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Windows 10/11, InTune, Azure and Office 365.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Excellent communication skills, always approachable and willing to assist users in a professional manner.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Managing and resolving assigned tickets on customer Internal ticketing system.
Providing exceptions for customers, when necessary, within client guidelines.
Be visible and available on the floor, proactively supporting end users with any issues or questions they may have.
Engaging with users regularly and provide timely assistance where needed.
Installing and upgrading the operating system on PCs and laptops with SCCM Management.
Migrating user data from Windows 10 to Windows 11 operating system.
Creating and removing new user accounts on SCCM Server.
Pushing and upgrading software through the Intune/SCCM Management Tool.
Upgrading hardware on PCs and laptops.
Taking complete ownership of user issues and inquiries as outlined in client procedures, including escalations back to the Service Desk for further remediation activities.
