Job summary

Carpets N More based in Christchurch is hiring two Flooring Installers for a permanent full-time role with an immediate start date. You will measure spaces, inspect surfaces, prepare areas, cut flooring materials, install carpet, vinyl or laminate, and finish with neat edge joins and clean-up.

The role requires a Level 4 qualification or 3 years in flooring/construction, ability to work independently, willingness to work extended hours, and good physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Measuring areas to be covered and estimating quantities for carpet, vinyl or laminate covering
• Inspecting floor surfaces prior to installing new floor coverings
• Preparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trims
• Measuring and cutting of flooring materials
• Installation of various flooring products such as carpet, vinyl or laminate
• Joining the edges of the carpet where necessary
• Maintain high standards of work
• Clean up after installation

Hexas Trading Limited was formed in 2017, trading as Carpets N More. We sell all kinds of floor covering products and offer full installation service in Auckland and Christchurch. We are looking for two Flooring Installers to join our team in Christchurch. This is a permanent full-time role with an immediate start date. You will be paid at a reasonable market rate.

• Measuring areas to be covered and estimating quantities for carpet, vinyl or
  laminate covering
• Inspecting floor surfaces prior to installing new floor coverings
• Preparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trims

Other details regarding the job:

• Working location: based in Christchurch
• Remuneration: Competitive market rates, with consideration of prior experience.
  Approximately $30-32 per hour.
• Annual Leave: 4 weeks per annum
