Job summary

AA Insurance NZ is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build and support secure cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. You will implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, automate deployments, and ensure high performance, security, and reliability for AI-focused workloads.

The role requires 3–5 years in Cloud/Infra, hands-on AWS/Azure, and strong IaC skills. Flexible working options and a collaborative team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code capability.
• Experience with deployment automation and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
• Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
• Support cloud platforms that enable AI and development workloads.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines and cloud automation.
• Monitor, optimise, and support cloud services for performance and security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and document standards and procedures.
