Job summary

Bridgestone NZ is seeking a Fleet Sales Manager to grow our commercial tyre business across Truck & Bus Radial, Light Truck, OTR, Agricultural, Industrial and retreads in the Auckland Northland region. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on hunting new accounts, growing existing ones, managing budgets and leading the sales pipeline with Salesforce, while supporting onboarding of new customers.

• 3-5+ years in a commercial tyres environment (ideally) and 2-3 years in sales management.
• Experience in commercial tyre sales, fleet management, transport, agriculture, industrial or related sales.

Job description

If you know commercial tyres and know how to run a territory, this role could be for you! From transport, ag, contractors and fleets, new business and existing accounts, all yours to grow across the Auckland Northland region.

About the Role

As Fleet Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for growing, managing and protecting our commercial tyre business across Truck & Bus Radial, Light Truck, OTR, Agricultural, Industrial and retreads. You'll build relationships with transport operators, agricultural businesses, contractors and commercial fleets and make sure customers get consistent service and support through Bridgestone's commercial network.

You'll report to the Regional Fleet Sales & Operations Manager, with no direct reports - this is a hands-on, out-in-the-field sales role, not a desk job.

What You'll Be Doing

• Hunt new business: Identify and chase new commercial accounts across transport, agriculture, contracting and fleet customers in your territory
• Grow existing accounts: Run a structured contact schedule with existing customers to protect and grow sales volume and revenue
• Own your sales budget: Deliver territory revenue, volume, margin and gross profit targets against budget and forecast
• Manage the pipeline: Run leads, opportunities and call cycle planning through Salesforce, with regular reporting on sales, product performance and competitor activity
• Put together proposals: Prepare commercial proposals, pricing submissions and business reviews for key accounts
• Get new customers up and running: Support the onboarding and mobilisation of new commercial customers into Bridgestone's network
• Be the technical go-to: Provide technical and commercial advice to customers across TBR, LT, OTR, AG and industrial products
• Represent Bridgestone on the ground: Attend Field Days, Ag Shows and other industry events, and coordinate with commercial outlets, stores and dealers in your area

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years in a commercial tyres environment (ideally), including 2-3 years in sales management
• A solid understanding of the NZ tyre industry and market would be hugely advantageous
• Experience in commercial tyre sales, fleet management, transport, agriculture, industrial or a related commercial sales environment (around 5 years preferred)
• A genuine track record in business development, key account management, territory planning, pipeline management and customer retention
• A strong grip on pricing, margin, commercial negotiation, forecasting and what drives profitability
