Job summary

Qube Ports NZ is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee machinery performance, compliance and replacement programmes across our national operations. Based in Tauranga, you will collaborate with operations and leadership teams to keep equipment safe, reliable and fit for purpose while supporting growth and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on asset management expertise, strong stakeholder management, and a willingness to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience managing heavy machinery and fleet assets.
• Strong understanding of asset management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel nationally.
• Diesel mechanical experience desirable.
• Full New Zealand driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage machinery procurement, setup, budgets, and replacement programmes.
• Monitor full machine lifecycle, performance, and operating costs.
• Spec fit-for purpose machinery and vehicles to ensure maximum uptime and productivity.
• Conduct machinery audits and inspections across New Zealand.
• Manage supplier and contractor relationships.
• Drive innovation to improve performance.

About the Role

Qube Ports NZ is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the performance, compliance, and replacement of machinery across our national operations. Based in Tauranga, you'll work closely with operational and leadership teams throughout New Zealand to ensure our machinery remains safe, reliable, and fit for purpose while supporting business growth and operational efficiency.

Status: Full-time permanent position
