Job summary

Hirepool is seeking an Assistant Manager - Operations (Portables) in Auckland to lead drivers and yard teams, ensure safety, efficiency and delivery commitments. You will work with customer service to fulfill contracts and resolve queries, with focus on fleet maintenance and strong team leadership.

Ideal candidates have fleet management experience in Transport or Waste sectors, excellent relationship management skills, and proven people management capability to grow the Portables division in

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet management or heavy vehicles is preferred.
• Strong people management and leadership abilities.
• Good communication with customers and teams at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination and distribution of work (drivers and yard).
• Ensure all compliance tasks are maintained as per schedule.
• Manage maintenance and repair of Portables hire fleet.
• Lead the team and strengthen the team culture.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for customers and staff.
• Travel to large events and oversee installation, service, and collection of equipment.
