Job summary

Watercare Services Limited is seeking a Financial Asset Systems Accountant to blend accounting expertise with practical systems experience. You will own a core part of the asset portfolio, drive capitalisation and depreciation, and contribute to ERP system improvements across Finance, Technology and Operations.

This role requires a degree in Accounting or Finance with a professional qualification, plus hands-on fixed asset system experience and strong data controls for accurate reporting and

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting or Finance with a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Hands-on experience with fixed asset systems or modules within a large enterprise system.
• Experience contributing to system implementations, upgrades or major process transformations.
• Strong fixed asset knowledge: capitalisation, depreciation, revaluations, and reconciliations.
• Experience with statutory reporting and complex reconciliations; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a significant part of Watercare's fixed asset portfolio, including capitalisation and reporting.
• Support the design, configuration, testing and implementation of fixed asset functionality in a large ERP environment.
• Prepare fixed asset disclosures, movement schedules, depreciation budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with data migration, cleansing, reconciliation and validation across project, procurement and GL processes.
• Provide practical advice on fixed asset accounting, system processes and reporting outcomes.
