Fitter Welder Machinists - Multiple Opportunities Across the North Island
We're partnering with a range of established engineering, manufacturing and maintenance businesses across the North Island seeking experienced Fitter Welder Machinists.
These are hands-on roles offering a mix of fitting, welding, fabrication, maintenance and machining work within busy workshop and site environments.
About the Role
Key activities will include:
- General fitting, welding, fabrication and assembly work
- Operating manual lathes, milling machines and workshop machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Measuring, marking out and manufacturing components to precise tolerances
- Repairing, maintaining and troubleshooting machinery and equipment
- Working safely across workshop and site environments while adhering to HSE requirements
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade qualification in fitting, machining, welding, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in engineering, fabrication, maintenance, or manufacturing environments
- Strong fitting, welding, fabrication and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience operating manual lathes, milling machines and workshop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and delivering results with minimal supervision
Highly Regarded
- Industrial maintenance experience
- General engineering workshop experience
- Heavy fabrication and structural steel experience
- Experience working in manufacturing or processing environments
- Site installation and shutdown maintenance experience
- Additional welding certifications and tickets
