Job summary

MADE New Zealand is seeking a commercially minded Financial Planning & Analysis Lead to turn data into actionable insights and improve business performance.   • 5+ years across FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
  • Exposure to FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with S&OP, demand planning or IBP.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capability.
  • Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder challenge.
  • Ability to translate complex data into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Own and improve financial models, scenario planning and analysis.
  • Drive end-to-end S&OP process across Sales, Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Provide pricing, margin, volume, customer and product profitability insights.
  • Develop business cases and financial assessments for new opportunities.
  • Improve reporting, data integrity, automation and decision-support tools.
  • Present insights, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

This is a visible, influential position sitting at the intersection of Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations. You’ll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and S&OP while partnering across the business to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and support smarter commercial decisions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
  • Owning and improving financial models, scenario planning and analysis

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be a strong commercial finance professional who is equally comfortable getting into the detail and stepping back to understand the bigger picture.

Ideally, you’ll bring:
  • 5+ years’ experience across FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience
  • Exposure to FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain environments
  • Experience with S&OP, demand planning or integrated business planning
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capability
  • Strong commercial judgement and confidence challenging stakeholders
  • The ability to translate complex data into clear, practical recommendations
