Job summary

Fred Recruitment Pte Ltd – Auckland is seeking a Senior FP&A leader for a fast-moving, well-established FMCG business in Auckland. You will drive short and long-term forecasting, lead planning process improvements, and work with executive and board-level stakeholders.

You will convert data from sales, operations and supply chain into financially insightful reporting, own the monthly reporting cycle, and develop long-range models to underpin strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong FP&A or commercial finance experience within FMCG.
• Proven track record of driving delivery, not just reporting.
• Comfort operating in the gray, able to make calls amid constant change.
• Experience building and owning financial models across multiple time horizons.
• The confidence to influence and present at Board and Executive level.

Responsibilities

• Owning monthly Board and executive reporting packs, including commentary on volume, price, mix, cost drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Leading the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, pulling inputs from sales, operations, supply chain and head office into one consolidated view.
• Building and maintaining long-term (5-10 year) financial models to underpin major strategic decisions, including new markets, capital investment, and growth scenarios.
• Assessing long-term profitability, cash generation, and balance sheet impact to support investment cases and strategy reviews.
• Acting as the finance lead into an integrated business planning process, aligning demand, supply, inventory and financial outlooks.
• Translating planning outcomes into updated forecasts, highlighting gaps to plan and trade-offs.
• Driving continuous improvement across planning systems and processes.

This role sits in a fast moving well established FMCG business. It requires an experienced leader with the ability to be flexible and work in a changeable environment. You'll work with the best, and have strong support around you. The appointment of this position adds significant value to the growth of the team, and requires a confident calm operator, serious about your contribution, and capable working within the grey at times.

Your ability to convert the data from sales, operations and supply change, and translate it into financially insightful reporting to the board and executive team is, at the core of the role. You will influence the direction and decision making, owning the monthly reporting cycle and numbers, right through to genuinely long range modelling. You will be comfortable with managing a small team under you, working closely with the finance business partners across the business as well as the commercial and operations team, it is collaborative, influential and very much front facing.

You will be a valuable decision influencer, comfortable working in the details of a variance, but equally able to step back and look at the long range forecast.
