Job summary

KiwiRail is seeking a Financial Accountant for our Wellington team. You will contribute to month-end and year-end reporting, treasury accounting, taxation support, journals, and reconciliations, delivering timely financial advice to stakeholders and ensuring accurate financial processes.

You will support treasury back-office and middle-office activities, assist with external audits, and contribute to high-quality reporting in a complex operating environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Good understanding of NZ IFRS and/or PBE IPSAS.

Responsibilities

• Month-end and year-end reporting.
• Treasury accounting and taxation support.
• Journals and reconciliations.
• Provide financial advice to stakeholders for decision-making.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of key financial processes.
