Job summary

Baygold is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team. You will deliver accurate financial statements and reporting for the Baygold Group, working across multiple entities and partnering with stakeholders to drive quality financial outputs.

Ideal candidates will have a tertiary qualification, strong financial reporting skills, and a hands-on approach. Experience with Xero and CAANZ progress are highly regarded in a values-led, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• CAANZ membership, or progress towards professional accreditation, would be highly regarded.
• Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar position.
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting skills.
• Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
• The ability to juggle priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial systems.
• Experience with Xero would be an advantage.
• A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
• Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or a multi-entity environment is helpful, but not essential.
