Job summary

Madison Recruitment is partnering with a large financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Transformation Accountant for a significant systems implementation, based in Auckland on a 12-month contract. The role focuses on testing, reconciliation and validation as the new platform goes live.

Working across finance, project and technology teams, you will help ensure accurate transactions and reporting and support post-implementation handover.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience supporting finance systems, transformation initiatives or large-scale business change.
• Experience testing, validation or UAT activities on finance platforms.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Supporting implementation of a new finance and accounting platform.
• Developing and executing accounting-focused test scenarios.
• Validating financial transactions and system calculations.
• Reconciling source data to financial and reporting outputs.
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies and exceptions.
• Supporting testing and user acceptance activities.
• Documenting processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assisting with post-implementation support and operational handover.
