Job summary

Madison Recruitment is partnering with a large financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Transformation Accountant for a significant systems implementation, based in Auckland on a 12-month contract. The role focuses on testing, reconciliation and validation as the new platform goes live.

Working across finance, project and technology teams, you will help ensure accurate transactions and reporting and support post-implementation handover.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience supporting finance systems, transformation initiatives or large-scale business change.
• Experience testing, validation or UAT activities on finance platforms.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with large data sets.

Responsibilities

Madison Recruitment is partnering with a large and well-established financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Transformation Accountant for a significant finance systems implementation programme.

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile transformation project, supporting testing, reconciliation and validation activities as a new accounting and reporting platform is implemented across the business.

Combining accounting expertise with project delivery, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, systems and process improvement.

About the Role

As part of a major transformation programme, you will help ensure financial transactions, reporting outputs and system calculations are operating accurately and efficiently throughout implementation and go-live.

Working closely with finance, project and technology teams, you will play a critical role in testing, reconciliation and process validation activities.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Supporting implementation of a new finance and accounting platform
• Developing and executing accounting-focused test scenarios

About You

You’ll be a Qualified Accountant who enjoys working on projects and has experience supporting finance systems, transformation initiatives or large-scale business change.

You’ll ideally bring

• CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Experience working with large and complex data sets
• Exposure to finance transformation or systems implementation projects
• Experience supporting testing, validation or UAT activities
• Advanced Excel capability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly desirable

• Insurance or financial services experience
• Oracle Fusion exposure
• Experience supporting ERP, finance or reporting system implementations
• Financial reporting and controls experience
