Job summary

ALS is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team in Hamilton, NZ. You will oversee financial processing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, while advising the business and guiding two finance team members.

Reporting to ANZ Finance Leadership in Australia, you will collaborate with stakeholders across sites and external clients and suppliers. You will ensure accuracy, compliance and timely reporting, support budgets and forecasts, and provide actionable financial analysis

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• At least five years’ finance or accounting experience.
• Minimum 12 months’ supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Process, record and distribute financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations.
• Verify and process intra-company transactions.
• Monitor account balances and investigate variances.
• Identify and resolve accounting errors.
• Prepare reports to support management decision-making.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Provide guidance on accounting treatments and transactions.
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers.
• Ensure finance processes comply with company policies and procedures.
