Job summary

ALS in Hamilton is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team and partner with stakeholders across the business.

You will oversee financial processing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, providing trusted advice while mentoring two finance team members to support ALS’s healthy, data-driven future.

Reporting to ANZ Finance Leadership, you’ll drive process improvements, ensure accuracy, and uphold compliance across quality, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Minimum five years' finance or accounting experience.
• Minimum 12 months’ supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Understanding of quality, compliance and HSE responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process, record and distribute financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations.
• Monitor account balances and investigate variances.
• Prepare reports to support management decision-making.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Provide guidance on accounting treatments and transactions.
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers.
• Ensure finance processes comply with company policies and procedures.
