Job summary

Dairy Holdings, New Zealand’s largest dairy farmer, seeks a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations and provide insight across the Group. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll manage financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and controls, while driving continuous improvement.

You’ll lead a finance team, partner with operational leaders, and use technology to streamline systems.

Dairy Holdings is New Zealand’s largest dairy farmer and is a business built around “People, Process and Pasture.” Having more than doubled in size over the past two decades, its scale creates a finance environment with plenty of complexity, commercial challenge and opportunity.

Reporting to and working closely with the CFO, the Finance Manager will lead the day-to-day finance operations of Dairy Holdings while providing insight across the Group. This is a broad role spanning financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cashflow, compliance, financial controls and continuous improvement.

You’ll work across the business with operational leaders to support better decision‑making. You’ll lead and develop the finance team and embrace technology to streamline finance systems and processes.

About you…

You’ll be a CA‑qualified or equivalent finance professional who is technically strong but commercially minded. You’re comfortable getting into the detail when required, but equally capable of stepping back, understanding what the numbers are saying and communicating that clearly to people outside finance.

You’ll already have experience managing a team and bring strong capability across management and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management. You’ll be confident working with senior leaders, able to challenge constructively and motivated by improving the way things are done.

Some previous experience or connection to farming, agribusiness or the wider primary sector would be valuable. We are also interested in people who have worked within complex or multi‑entity businesses and understand the demands that come with operating at scale.
