Job summary

Evolution Healthcare is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager for a one-year parental leave position to oversee the Health & Wellbeing portfolio across multiple businesses in New Zealand. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role blends financial leadership with strategic business partnering and performance improvement in a complex, purpose-led healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA, or equivalent Chartered Accounting qualification.
• 5+ years' post-qualification experience in finance, commercial finance, or business partnering roles.
• Exceptional financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Experience developing financial models, KPIs, and management reporting frameworks.
• Advanced Excel and strong systems capability, including Power BI and financial reporting tools such as IBM and Business Central.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Health & Wellbeing portfolio for a one year parental leave position, supporting a diverse group of businesses across rehabilitation, occupational health, and care pathways. Reporting to the Finance Director for that portfolio, this is a highly visible role that combines financial leadership, strategic business partnering, performance improvement, and commercial decision support.

As Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of our Health & Wellbeing businesses. You will work closely with the Finance Director, General Managers, and wider leadership team to provide insightful financial analysis, lead budgeting and forecasting activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be responsible for:

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you'll be a highly capable finance professional who combines technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and influencing skills.

You will have:
