Job summary

Healthvision in Auckland is seeking a fixed-term Senior Management Accountant for a 3–6 month period. You will translate financial data into clear insights for senior leaders, support budgeting and forecasting, and report to the CEO from Ascot Business Park, Greenlane, with a hybrid option up to two days from home.

You will build strong relationships with department heads, lead month-end processes, and deliver robust management accounting packs and strategic metrics that align with government

Qualifications

• 3+ years' senior accounting experience in a health service or similar environment.
• Strong month-end reporting, variance analysis, and financial modelling skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis across units.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term modelling.
• Deliver robust management accounting packs and performance metrics.
• Present financial insights clearly to the CEO and senior leaders.

We are seeking a fixed term Senior Management Accountant for a 3–6-month period, who has a passion for healthcare service, strong communication skills communicating financials clearly and pragmatically at all levels, including non-financial stakeholders. Collaborating with the financial team supporting strategic financial reporting and turning financials into high-quality insights for senior leaders. This role reports to the CEO and is based in the Ascot Business Park at Greenlane Auckland offering a hybrid working arrangement of up to 2 days per week from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong, collaborative relationships with department heads and executive stakeholders, translating technical financial details into clear, meaningful insights.
• play a key role in month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple business units.
• Work with the CEO on annual budgeting processes, rolling forecasts and long-term financial modelling.
• Deliver robust monthly management accounting packs, variance analysis, and strategic performance metrics.
• Ensure financial practices align with relevant government agency contracts/frameworks and funding structure.

About You

• 3+ years' senior account experience
• Strong month-end and reporting capability
• Advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to comfortably present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated experience in a management accounting role within a health service organisation, (or similar service industry framework).
