Job summary

Team Global Express in Auckland is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide commercial insight, challenge thinking and help our operational leaders make better-informed decisions.

This hands-on partnering role will work with operational leaders to understand the story behind the numbers and help drive stronger business performance. You’ll deliver monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, analyse costs and translate findings into practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across commercial finance, management accounting or business partnering.
• CA/CPA qualification, or working towards it.
• Strong analytical capability with large datasets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to provide commercial advice and support performance.

About the role - Mō te tūranga

This is a hands‑on partnering role where you’ll work closely with operational leaders to understand the story behind the numbers and help drive stronger business performance.

• Partnering with operational leaders to provide commercial advice and support performance
• Delivering monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Analysing key costs, trends and performance drivers to identify risks and opportunities
• Building and reviewing robust business cases to support commercial decisions
• Translating financial analysis into practical recommendations for the business

To be successful in this role, you’ll combine strong financial expertise with commercial curiosity and the confidence to build trusted relationships across the business.

• 5+ years’ experience across commercial finance, management accounting or business partnering CA/CPA qualification, or be working towards it
• Strong analytical capability and confidence working with large and complex datasets
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to see beyond the numbers
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge
• Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
