Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Technician in Queenstown to install, maintain and repair telecom equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, configure devices and ensure service quality while following safety standards.

Ideal candidates are technically adept with broadband, VoIP and basic networking, can work independently, and communicate clearly with customers. A valid driver's license and flexible hours including weekends are required, with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Field Service Technician or similar.
• Strong technical aptitude with telecom hardware/software.
• Knowledge of broadband technologies (DSL, Cable, Fiber) and VoIP.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, crawl and lift moderate weight.

The ideal candidate will be technically adept, customer-focused, and possess a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, including broadband, voice, and data services. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing installations, and providing excellent service in the field. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
