Placements24 in New Zealand seeks a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our client’s team in the Queenstown area. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair wind turbines and solar arrays at remote sites, ensuring uptime and safety.

Travel, perform preventive maintenance, document activities in the service management system, and collaborate with the operations team to schedule work. Requires 3+ years in field service and a technical engineering qualification.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a field service role, renewable energy preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with SCADA systems and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of wind turbines and solar power systems.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and implement effective repairs to resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Manage spare parts inventory and tools required for field service operations.
• Document all service activities, findings, and resolutions accurately in the service management system.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and respond to service requests efficiently.
