Job summary

Sysmex New Zealand is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and service Sysmex instrumentation across customer sites throughout New Zealand. The role involves regular travel, on-call duties and collaboration with Sysmex regional HQ in Singapore for training and support.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service engineering, preferably in clinical laboratory, healthcare, medical device, life sciences or related industry.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and willingness to learn continuously.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service Sysmex instrumentation across customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate customer and service records in the CRM.
• Travel regularly across New Zealand to support installations and service needs.
• Provide backup support for the South Island Field Service Engineer.
• Participate in on-call activities on a rotating roster.
• Collaborate with Sysmex regional HQ in Singapore for training and support.
• Provide remote assistance and occasional travel to Australia and Pacific Islands.
