Job summary

Beon Energy Solutions in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Field HSE Advisor to join our project delivery team on the Te Rahui Solar Farm project, Rangitaiki. This hands-on, full-time role places you on site, working with project leaders, workers and contractors to deliver practical health, safety and environmental support across NZ construction projects.

Reporting to the HSE team, you will lead HSE plans, perform site inspections, mentor teams and promote a proactive safety culture through

Qualifications

NZ safety qualification (Level 4) or equivalent.
3+ years site-based HSE experience in construction, civil, utilities or infra.
Strong knowledge of NZ HSE legislation and requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide frontline HSE leadership, coaching and support to workers, contractors and project teams
Implement and maintain project HSE management plans, site safety plans and safe work procedures
Lead site inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions
Monitor HSE performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Review risk assessments, permits and controls for high-risk construction activities
Support worker engagement through inductions, toolbox talks, pre-starts and HSE committee participation
Monitor contractor compliance and provide practical advice to supervisors and project leaders
Coordinate emergency preparedness, environmental controls and project HSE reporting
