Job summary

Beach Energy Ltd in New Plymouth, New Zealand seeks a Senior HSE Advisor to support the Health, Safety and Environment Management System across New Zealand assets, including Kupe Gas Plant, offshore platform and Omata Tank Farm. You will partner with operations to drive improvement, strengthen safety culture, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Team Leader Health & Safety in Melbourne, you will lead HSE outcomes, manage risk, and coordinate environmental compliance while

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of New Zealand HSE legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
Experience leading incident investigations and delivering effective corrective actions.
Ability to interpret and apply relevant HSE legislation and standards.
Strong understanding of risk management principles and risk-based decision making.
Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

Provide HSE technical advice across the Kupe Gas Plant, offshore platform and Omata Tank Farm.
Support OEMS implementation and assurance.
Lead ICAM incident investigations.
Conduct HSEQ audits and assurance activities across sites and contractor relationships.
Lead H&S for major maintenance shutdowns and projects.
Coordinate and monitor environmental compliance including approvals and reporting.
Lead environmental input into projects and assess environmental risks.
