Job summary

Halter is seeking a Fleet Specialist in New Zealand, based in Oamaru with regular NZ travel, to maintain and improve Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure. You’ll diagnose hardware issues, deploy new equipment, and work with product and customer success teams to keep farms running smoothly.

This hands-on role requires practical electrical, networking, and field operations skills, plus a proactive approach and ability to travel across the South Island.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking or equipment fitting is a must.
• Ability to manage time and travel with a proactive approach to field operations.
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure.
• Diagnose hardware issues and feed back to relevant teams.
• Deploy new equipment on farms and assist with installations.
• Provide on-site deployment support and troubleshooting during farm deployments.
• Be part of the on-call roster to support tower-related incidents.
• Collaborate with hardware, product and customer success teams to ensure customer outcomes.
• Collect and analyze data from hardware to improve processes and inform decisions.
• Travel within the South Island and across NZ as required.
