Job summary

Halter is seeking a motivated Fleet Specialist to join our team in New Zealand, based in Oamaru with regular NZ travel. You will maintain and improve Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation and rapid resolution of issues.

This hands-on role requires technical ability, problem-solving, and proactive field operations. As the go-to person for hardware reliability, you’ll deploy new equipment on-farm and deliver exceptional service to our growing customer network.

Qualifications

• Strong technical ability and hands-on hardware experience.
• Good problem-solving skills with a proactive field approach.
• Willingness to travel within New Zealand and work in Oamaru.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure.
• Resolve technical issues quickly and ensure systems run reliably.
• Deploy and upgrade field equipment across customer sites.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and high-performing Fleet Specialist to join our team in New Zealand, supporting the maintenance and performance of Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our systems are operating efficiently, resolving technical issues quickly, and helping to refine and improve the reliability of our hardware across our customer network.

Note this role is Oamaru based with regular NZ travel.

This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to field operations. You may find yourself maintaining and upgrading infrastructure one day and deploying new equipment on-farm the next.
