Job summary

Crown Equipment in Auckland is seeking a field-based Battery Technician to service forklift batteries across the region. You will be part of a stable, supportive team within a large organisation, with training and clear career progression.

The role is permanent, full-time, Monday–Friday with paid overtime opportunities. A minimum of 1 year MHE or automotive battery experience, customer focus, IT savvy, and a valid licence are required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's Material Handling Equipment experience or Auto Electrical or Battery experience or Automotive trade qualification (or similar overseas qualification).
• Customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude, supporting valued customers with reliable service.
• Team player, prepared to support the team and collaborate effectively.
• IT savvy and an agile learner to adapt to new tools and processes.
• Strong rapport-building, attention to detail, and physical fitness for manual handling.
• Full pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol test, and valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform field-based repairs and maintenance on forklift batteries.
• Support customers across the assigned area with trusted service.
• Learn Crown products and develop skills through training programs.
