Job summary

RealNZ on Stewart Island is seeking sea-hardy crew to join our maritime team. In this hands-on role you’ll help deliver memorable journeys for guests, serving food and drinks, sharing local stories, and keeping the vessel shipshape.

This position operates on a 4-on, 4-off roster with duties including luggage handling, line handling, and supporting safe vessel operations. A full NZ driver’s licence is essential, and maritime experience is highly valued; forklift licence is an advantage.

Qualifications

• QDC certification or equivalent maritime qualification.
• Maritime experience and a love for the sea.
• Full NZ driver's licence required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience on the Foveaux Strait is a bonus.
• Forklift licence is advantageous.

Home to the famous Bluff oyster fishery, the Foveaux Strait offers a rugged, unforgettable experience - and we're on the lookout for qualified, sea-hardy crew to join our close-knit team.

As a valued member of our maritime crew, you'll help deliver memorable journeys for our guests. From serving food and drinks to sharing local stories and keeping the vessel shipshape, your energy and professionalism will shine through.

This is a hands-on, physically active role based on Stewart Island, working a 4-on, 4-off roster. You'll assist with luggage, freight, line handling, and support the safe operation of the vessel.

What You'll Bring

• Maritime experience and a love for the sea
• Full NZ driver's licence - essential

• Forklift licence - an advantage
