Job summary

Tegel Foods Limited in New Plymouth is seeking a Farm Worker to join our farming teams for a fixed-term role over the summer, starting at 7:00am, with weekend and public holiday work required. This role is physically demanding with heavy lifting and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

You will contribute to daily farming tasks and support our production goals during the busy season. We offer above minimum rates, overtime after ordinary hours, and opportunities to learn new skills and develop

Qualifications

• Fixed-term summer role, farm work, jack of all trades.

About the role

We're seeking a Farm Worker to join our farming teams. This fixed term position, over the summer will suit someone who enjoys farm work, is a jack of all trades, and most importantly, has genuine concern for animal welfare. The roles can be physically demanding with some heavy lifting required. If you are the type of person who likes to roll their sleeves up and pitch in, then this opportunity is for you! This is a fixed term role starting at + 7.00am. Weekend and public holiday work is required.

• We have levels of pay that increase after every 12 months' service for 3 consecutive years.
• We pay overtime after 8 ordinary hours a day at 1.6 times your ordinary base rate for the first 2 hours' overtime, after which you get paid at 1.75 times your ordinary base rate for the remainder of that day's overtime.
• Any weekend work is paid at 1.6 times your ordinary base rate
