Job summary

Hynds Limited in Pokeno is seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will fabricate high-spec equipment to millimetre accuracy and read engineering drawings.

The role involves welding across Arc, MIG, TIG and stainless, operating workshop machines, solving problems, and keeping a clean, safe workspace. NZ Class 1 licence and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Welder with 3+ years of experience, proficient in Arc, MIG, TIG and stainless welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Commitment to a clean, safe workshop and 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate high-specification production equipment.
• Weld across Arc, MIG, TIG and stainless steel.
• Operate lathe, mill, press and other workshop equipment.
• Develop solutions to engineering problems and own them to completion.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings for fabrication.
• Order materials, manage spares stock, maintain a clean workspace.
• Work between the workshop and manufacturing sites as needed.
