Job summary

EVT Limited's Rydges Rotorua is seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant to deliver warm, guest-focused service across bar, restaurant, room service and events. You’ll take orders, describe menus, serve food and drinks, and help create memorable experiences for guests.

Bring prior hospitality experience, knowledge of wine and cocktails (training provided), and the stamina to stand for long periods, lift items, and work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food and beverage or hospitality role.
• Knowledge of wine and cocktails (training provided).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Collaborative, guest-focused approach with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements and provide menus.
• Describe menu items, answer questions and take orders, noting dietary requests.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure presentation standards.
• Check in with diners and address any concerns.
• Keep the area clean, restock and reset tables.
• Communicate orders to the kitchen for timely delivery.
• Present bills and process payments accurately.
• Suggest additional menu items or beverages to enhance the guest experience.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols.
