Job summary

EVT Group’s Rydges Rotorua is seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant to deliver top-notch service across bar, restaurant, room service and conferencing events. You’ll help guests with orders, wine and beverage knowledge, and ensure a memorable dining experience.

You will greet guests, take orders, deliver promptly, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere, while upholding safety and hygiene standards in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality or food & beverage role.
• Knowledge of wine and cocktails (training provided).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Collaborative, guest-focused approach with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating and provide menus.
• Describe items, take orders, note dietary restrictions.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and present them to standard.
• Check in with diners to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Keep the area clean, clear tables and restock supplies.
• Communicate orders to kitchen and ensure timely delivery.
• Present bills and process payments accurately.
• Suggest additional menu items or beverages to enhance the guest experience.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols.
