Amcor in Albany, Auckland, is seeking a full-time Extrusion Operator to operate blown film co-extrusion machinery, set up and run resin blenders, extruders and winders, and produce high-quality film for export or conversion.
You will join a 4-on, 4-off 12-hour shift pattern, work in a hygienic food-safe factory, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining strong attendance and teamwork.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at Albany on the North Shore in Auckland. The primary focus of this role is to operate co-extrusion machinery which converts resin pellets into high quality plastic film, ready for immediate delivery, export or for printing then converting into the final product for our customers. The Extrusion Team operates on a ‘4-on, 4-off’ (AM/AM/PM/PM) 12 hour rotating shift pattern starting 7:30am and 7:30pm, 24/7, 365 days per year. You will be involved in working in a food-safe hygiene environment producing high-quality product. You will be part of a high performing team and assist with the continuous improvement of our operations. This includes being able to set, maintain and operate complex production machinery in a safe and supportive factory environment.
Remuneration will be approximately NZ$95,000 per annum (less tax) and there will be occasional overtime available in addition to this.
Experience operating Blown Film Co-extrusion Machinery including resin blenders, extruders, winders, auxiliary equipment and performing quality checks.
A can-do attitude, excellent attention to detail and high energy.
The ability to communicate well in a team environment with a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
An excellent attendance record.
Passing a pre-employment drug, alcohol and medical aptitude test will be a requirement for successful applicants as will be the provision of a satisfactory Ministry of Justice Convictions (Police) Report. All applicants must have a current and valid right to live and work in New Zealand.
