The Air & Ocean Export Manager is responsible for developing and leading the air and ocean export product through strong operational performance, financial control, sales support, people leadership, systems optimisation, and a positive, high-performance culture, in line with company policies and procedures.
Lead and develop the Air & Ocean Export team to support business growth and operational flexibility.
Drive productivity, service performance, and achievement of key operational KPIs.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer SOPs.
Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, service quality, and cost control.
Support budgeting, P&L management, and overall departmental profitability.
Manage vendor relationships and costs to optimize service and financial outcomes.
Partner with Sales to drive customer retention, growth, and new business opportunities.
Provide pricing, routing, and technical expertise to support customer solutions.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members while building future leaders.
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, compliance, and company values.
Champion system enhancements and operational best practices across the department.
Proven experience managing air and ocean export operations within freight forwarding
Strong people leadership, operational, and financial management skills
Solid understanding of export compliance, documentation, and carrier management
Commercially minded with strong customer and stakeholder engagement skills
