Job summary

Prime Kitchens in Christchurch is seeking experienced Kitchen Joiners/Cabinetmakers to join our night‑shift manufacturing team. In a modern facility you will build and assemble premium kitchens for residential and commercial projects, reading plans and following production drawings to ensure accuracy and high workmanship.

Job description

Prime Kitchens is looking for experienced Kitchen Joiners/Cabinetmakers to join our Christchurch manufacturing team on Night Shift.

Working in our modern manufacturing facility, you'll be responsible for building and assembling high-quality custom kitchens for residential and commercial projects. You'll receive cut and edged components ready for assembly and will use your joinery skills to produce kitchens that meet our high standards of craftsmanship.

You'll read plans, follow production drawings, problem-solve when required, fit hardware, check quality, and prepare completed kitchens for dispatch. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional workmanship, so attention to detail and pride in your finished product are essential.

About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about quality cabinetry and enjoys producing premium kitchens.
You'll ideally have:

Experience manufacturing and assembling custom kitchens or cabinetry.

The ability to accurately read and interpret production drawings.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Experience using a range of joinery machinery and hand tools safely.

The ability to work independently while managing your own jobs.

A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a supportive team.

A focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Experience with CNC machinery or kitchen installation is an advantage but is not essential.
