Job summary

Gsr Enterprises Limited in Auckland is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook meals to our menu and customer requirements, maintain food quality and presentation, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly during service.

The role requires 2 years' experience or Level 4 qualification, and you must be reliable and available to work weekends and public holidays. This is a 30-hour-per-week permanent position with pay between $25 and $30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Commercial kitchen experience or cookery training is required.
• Able to prepare and cook a range of meals consistently.
• Understanding of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene is essential.
• Work well with others and stay organised during busy service.
• Reliable and available to work on weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes in line with recipes, menu requirements and service needs.
• Check the quality of ingredients and finished dishes.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to maintain consistent quality.
• Portion and present meals to the required standard.
• Store food safely and follow food hygiene and safety requirements.
• Keep kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised.
• Communicate with the kitchen team about preparation and service requirements.
• Assist with stock checks and food supply orders, as required.
• 2 years' experience or level 4 qualification.
