Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, is seeking an experienced CNC Saw Operator/CNC Machinist to join a leading stone fabrication company. You will program, set up and operate CNC bridgesaws and machining centres to produce high-quality stone products for residential and commercial projects.

Ideal candidates have minimum 5 years of CNC machining or stone fabrication experience, read technical drawings, and stay safety-conscious.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of CNC machining or stone fabrication experience.
Experience operating CNC bridgesaws or similar CNC stone processing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with CAD/CAM software is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Program and operate CNC bridgesaws and CNC machining centres.
Interpret CAD/CAM files and technical drawings.
Setup machines and prepare stone slabs for processing.
Monitor cutting and machining operations to ensure accuracy.
Produce finished products to precise measurements and quality standards.
Inspect completed work for defects and dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine machine maintenance and blade replacement.
Identify and resolve basic machine operating issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Handle natural stone, engineered stone, marble, granite, quartz, and porcelain materials.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines.
